A LETTER FROM AASE:
I wanted to thank those of you that
chose to participate in this event, and just so you know, Siskiyou
Knitters ROCKED... those of you that did participate got "Judges
Choice", one (of course!) was our own LINDA PECK (in the CROCHET div)
and Judges Choice in the FELT div, went to Norma Parry! Not in the
Siskiyou Knit Group, but a local lover of alpaca yarn, Pat Arnold took
Judges Choice in the KNIT div (she lives in Grenada) she knit a
beautiful lace scarf (using EBA Oaks Alpaca yarn). Several Siskiyou
Knitters also took ribbons all over the place, Liz Osborne and Cindy
Shipley and myself. The competition is fun, partly because it is not a
"judged against someone else's work" type competition, you get ribbons
for YOUR work, not how you compared to someone else - so hope to see
many more of you next year! It was a lot of work, but well worth the
effort.
