1 Try and keep your
left-hand index finger extended for your tension. Use the middle finger
of your left hand as a “back-board” for your right-hand needle to work off
of. Keep work fairly close to tips of needles, but not so close that the
stitches fall off! Your right-hand index finger will keep your work from
sliding off your right-hand needle. |

2
Insert right-hand needle into first stitch on the left needle. |
|

5
Bring the yarn completely through and pull toward the
right. |

6
Lift stitch off the left hand needle, pulling the
left hand stitch off the left needle as you pull. Don't pull tight
and make your stitch too tight! Grannie Linda only does this when
she is watching an exciting movie while she is knitting! This is the
"Continental" method - or "pick knitting".
Knit across the row, then go to "The Purl Stitch". |
