They are knitting and lap quilting, etc., for the battered women
and children (Siskiyou Domestic Violence),
Madrone Adult Day Care Center, and
Madrone Hospice House.
The Stitchers Guild of the Yreka Methodist Church. organized by Sandy
Johnson, recently distributed their handmade articles to Siskiyou
Domestic Violence Center, Madrone Adult Day Care Center, and the Hospice
House. The ladies of the Guild hand made beautiful items in two short
months from the inception of this Guild. Knit hats, slippers, blankets,
caplets, scarves, quilts and baby blankets were made and donated.
If you have extra yarn or material you don't plan on using, donations
are most welcome, and that is what keeps the Guild going. Sandy will be
gone this winter and will return for the April meeting.
